James is an advertising effectiveness expert from New Zealand, with extensive experience in researching, publishing, practicing, and teaching advertising effectiveness. He previously worked as a strategic planner at Colenso BBDO and served as the Managing Director of Y&R New Zealand before founding the innovation studio Previously Unavailable.

Throughout his career, James' advertising work has received recognition with over 50 local and international marketing effectiveness awards, including gold Effies, Effectiveness Agency of the Year awards, a Cannes Creative Effectiveness Lion, and the Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards Platinum award.
